Practice Revisions

Today is the day! We get to start golf practice!

As we get going, I want to acknowledge our community and how lucky we are to live in such a great place. From the athletic department at our school working to get a season approved, to parents and donors supporting the team, golf club members being happy to see us on the course, and our local golf course gladly providing the amazing playground in which we get to golf. Thank you, everyone!

Our practice schedule is going to look a little different these days. We are sharing a very busy golf course with hundreds of other golfers, as well as the MBHS Girls Golf Team. In the midst of a very impacted golf course, the owners of the course still are finding a way to support our team! With that said, our group of almost 30 golfers will need to split up for practice and tryouts while we begin to manage the size of our final roster of about 20 golfers.

Practice will still be from 3:30-5:30 at the course. Instead of the whole team practicing each day, we will be in groups of 9-10 golfers each day. Each group will practice 1-2 days a week until we have our final roster on February 5th. Unfortunately we will have to “cut” some golfers from the team this year. We are looking for golfers who are committed to our team and passionate about growing their game. Let the journey begin!
