Week 10 Power Rankings....and More!

Week 10 started with a varsity co-ed alternate shot challenge with the MBHS Girls Golf Team. Both teams were nervous coming into the competition, but ended up making some new friends by the end of the round. The consensus was we will need to run it back.

On Tuesday we had our usual varsity team challenge and we were on fire! Despite the 15-20 mph winds, the guys shot a record 197 as a team. Hard work is paying off!

On Wednesday we had our first JV challenge; a 5-hole competition. Almost our entire team elected to participate in the challenge even though many of the golfers have not played more than two holes at a time. So great to see the guys have fun and challenge themselves. We had a great battle at the top and ended up with Wayland leading the group with a 24! Par for the 5 holes is 20. Awesome job, everyone!

Our first varsity pre-season match is this coming week in Santa Ynez. We will travel with 6 golfers. The top 5 golfers in the Power Rankings earn an automatic spot for the coming week competition(s). The number 6 spot goes to the winner of our Tuesday Challenge between the #6-8 golfers. It's going to be a tight battle this week!
