Week 16 Power Rankings

Our JV team got to compete this week! We are excited that our neighbors at Coast Union HS are building a Boys and Girls Golf Program and wanted to get some practice competing. Our JV Boys were up for the challenge. We sent 4 golfers out to get some good experience with competition, teamwork, rules, and etiquette. While there was no official score, our boys definitely would have been ready for a real match. Congrats to Curtis on his official round of 55, lowest of any card submitted.

This week Varsity had a tough challenge against perennial golf powerhouse, St. Joe's. The boys showed up ready to go on Monday at Santa Maria Country Club. The stage was set for a close match when our first two pairings came in at 1 stroke difference. John and Noah led the way in those groups, each shooting a 40. Morgan and Talon were in the final pairing and came up clutch, allowing us to keep a score of 42 vs St. Joe's score of 58. It pays to have 6 great golfers on the team!

Our home match turned out almost the same! Ben led the first two groups with a 39, helping us create about 6 strokes of distance. Then Talon and Morgan both came in with 42's, helping lead the team to a 5th straight victory. This team works hard every week and there is always someone to pick up a teammate if one of the guys is struggling.
