Week 17 Power Rankings

Bye Week! This week was spent working on individual aspects of the game, practice rounds at the courses we will be playing next week, and having fun with the game. Next week our varsity team will take on Arroyo Grande. This is going to be a tough match against a really solid team. Our plan is to go out to the course with confidence and have fun!

CIF playoffs for Boys Golf have been announced! We have the opportunity to qualify as a team and as individuals for the Central Section playoffs. In order to qualify as a team, we will play an 18 hole round at Chalk Mountain on Thursday, May 27th. We will take our 5 best scores from our 6 golfers as usual. If we score under 440, we will qualify for the Division 2 playoff. If we score over 440 but under 475, we will qualify for the Division 3 playoff. An added bonus to qualifying as a team is that means all 6 of our golfers qualify as individuals to participate in the Central Section playoff too.

The Central Section playoff is held on Thursday, June 3rd, at Lemoore Golf Course. If we qualify, we will have 6 golfers participate, aiming for our first boys golf CIF Championship since... I don't know when (if ever). In addition to representing us as a team, each golfer will be competing as individuals to be in the top 25 golfers (including ties) with a score of 85 or better. If any individual meets this criterion, they will advance as an individual to the Individual Central Section Championship on Tuesday, June 8th, at Blacklake Golf Course. Depending on their individual performance at Blacklake, golfers will have a chance to be in the top 25 golfers and advance to the state championship! More detailed info below:
